Welcome to my BLOG!!!

Something else to occupy my time during this transition between jobs!  LOL.
So to start, HUGE thanks to all those who have reached out since my departure on KUBE.
I'm doing great, and using the down-time to get caught up with family, friends, my home and 'me'.

Stumbled upon this old photo this morning, and two things came to mind.  One, dig the shirt.  Two, it was about this time that I received my first pocket-sized transistor radio.
I can remember listening and bouncing back and forth between the two big stations KJR and KING (and they were AM stations of course, it being the 70's:).  I'd go to sleep at night with that thing at my ear, listening and memorizing countdowns.  I can't imagine the number of batteries I must have went through.  Song that comes to mind?  Hmmmmmm, gonna have say it'  "Billy Don't Be A Hero".  SUPER 70's OLDSKOOL!!!

Do you remember your first radio song?  Would love to know what that is:).

Shellie Hart 1974...nice!

  2. Shellie- looking forward to reading your blog. I was always a KJR listener over KING, but I don't remember why. First "radio" song I remember? "Fire" from the Pointer Sisters (the special KJR edit) remember that? We were fortunate to have such great top 40s here growing up!
